Back to Work: Age Reflections & 3D Adventures

2nd until 4th of Nov 2024

Mon Nov 4 2024, 10:49:02 pm CET We are back again to the mines, as they say. Not just that, a work-week started after the holiday, which makes it even more of a challenge. Not too bad though since I did my fair share of work during my time off, as one has to do in my position. On top of that I was fortunate to enjoy the seasonal common cold.

Tomorrow is the birthday of my older brother. He is 5 years older and if you see the years - applies to all of us - then it is really clear how old we are getting. I have a vivid memory of when my dad turned 45 and I thought that he was old. That is about 35 years ago, that is just crazy...

In between and whenever I got the chance I did some printing. One of the fun projects was when I could 3D print on two printers with two different types of filament, TPU flexible rubber kind and the other was normal PLA. I was printing a stamp and the result looks really promising 3d printing, stampI really liked this little project, I could use two printers at the same time and 3d print in two different types of filament. The blue rubber pad was 3D printed in TPU (95A).. Now I just need to find an ink pad.

I think that will do it for today, it is time to go crawl under the blanket and read a good book...

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Mon 4 Nov 2024, 7:42:28 pm CET Did you know that today 1847 is when Sir James Young Simpson Read more about him on Wikipedia., a Scottish physician, discovers the anaesthetic properties of chloroform.
