2nd until 5th of Jan 2025 2025-01-05 17:49:23 CET It is Sunday and tomorrow reality starts for real when most people are back again after the Christmas holiday and new year celebration. I was back last week already, but it was only a two day work week as I was back on Thursday. It will certainly be an interesting and strange year with a lot of changes coming our way... It's been a hectic time for J and K - K flew back to Cyprus this morning and J has been studying non-stop for days trying to catch up tons of material for his exams next week. The Christmas and new year celebrations were an absolute bliss! It was such a wonderful time, but it passed by too quick. I spent some time improving the website by implementing a few interesting updates, including minor comfort features like the use of Shortcodes within the Hugo framework to enhance efficiency. Additionally, I added some valuable bookmarks to new resources in the relevant section. I've also been experimenting with Autodesk Fusion and FreeCAD—especially now that the latest official release is out—though FreeCAD has always been my preferred CAD solution (I view Tinkercad and OpenSCAD as different tools altogether). As a hobbyist, I found Autodesk Fusion to be quite pricey and only a short-term fix when I began exploring the trial version. I'm still unsure how long I can continue using it (I read that the non-commercial version might be available for three years), but I dread the moment it tells me, "your trial version has expired." If that happens, I could potentially just convert the projects over to FreeCad, that is how good FreeCAD is. When starting writing this post I was just going to do a QUICK update, but one thing led to another... Not only did I extend on the content, I also added a new bookmark post in the process. But that just confirms my need and the purpose of this website. Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day.
