4th until 5th of Mar 2026 Thu 5 Mar 2026, 7:38:14 pm CET As annoying yesterday was with a lot of things happening against me, today has been the opposite. It has been a really good day. I have been able to relax and enjoy the day, and even shot some golf balls with my son in the fantastic weather we've had. Just to give you an idea, yesterday J. let me know that his laptop stopped charging during this critical time. Strange, it just refused to charge and it was like the charger was not plugged in. This happens during a very critical time in his study and EVERYTHING is on that laptop. He arrived yesterday afternoon and we started to troubleshoot the issue. The first thing to do is to measure the charger and see if it is working. It was really giving some weird reading on the multimeter, so we suspected that it was the charger. I did some control measurements with other chargers etc. As you see... "long story short", I ordered a new charger (after researching for a long time and reading through ridiculously a lot of information about Asus laptop chargers) last night, and it arrived today. We plugged it in, and it worked immediately. I have not often been so happy to see a charger working, but this was one of those times. Fantastic, we do not have to buy a new laptop, and we do not have to worry about data loss or anything like that. I am really happy about that. Another good thing that happened today was a crazy satisfying CAD design project that ended in utterly success from the very first 3D print. It was meant as a try-out, but it turned out to be the final product. I did it in OpenSCAD, and I am really happy with the result. It is a support stand for a neon sign. Yes, something my wonderful wife found (and it is actually really cool). OK, need to run, it is time for Harry Potter binging with the three of us. I hope you have a great evening, and I will see you again soon. Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Thu 5 Mar 2026, 7:38:14 pm CET Did you know that today in 1616 is when Nicolaus Copernicus's book On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres Read more about it on Wikipedia. is added to the Index of Forbidden Books 73 years after it was first published.
