29th Sep until 6th of Oct 2025 Mon Oct 6 2025, 11:23:47 pm CET OK, I actually started writing this post last Tuesday, the 30th of September thus, but never came around to post it and now the whole week passed by and it is Sunday and the morning time just slipped into daytime. The evening is just around the corner already... September also went into October and the autumn is here. The weather has turned into typical autumn, evenings and the mornings are getting colder and colder. We have to close the windows at night and put on more clothes, it is almost that heating is needed and it is really tempting to light the open fire place. The leaves are slowly changing colours are changing into yellow, orange and red. It's been an intense week with a lot of activities, meetings and chores. I have been to the masonic lodge Monday evening, Tuesday it was time for the car inspection appointment, which passed without any issues, for the first and last time for this car. Here you only have to do the first car inspection when the car is 4 years old, which is how long the leasing time is. I am busy booking a trip to Sweden which is nothing else but trouble so far. Normally it is something that is done in about 10 minutes without any issues or head aches, but this time it is a nightmare. It started with trying to book it and there were issues with the final step, the payment. Finally we got a message saying that the booking is in progress and that I will get an email when it's done. I have not received any email as of yet, so I tried calling the travel agency and, after more than 3.5 hours of waiting time (3 different times), the issue is not resolved. I mean it is half a working day just listening to elevator music. I just want to know if the booking is still pending. Additionally, I was partly paying with my Eurobonus points and they were deducted in the process. Something MUST have happened... As a retro update to the above paragraph, I finally got through to the travel agency today after more than 4 hours of total waiting time (3 different times in the weekend prior to today) and it was confirmed that the booking is not pending. It is safe to make another booking...the issue is that the price of the same trip is now 100 EUR more expensive now. At least the agent returned my lost Eurobonus credits and suggested to raise a claim. That I will certainly do. The good news is that the new booking went through without any issues... hang on, was it all a scheme??? I mean, 20% more expensive and 4 hours worth of support calls... The claim is coming up. Friday we had friends over for dinner and I could take the Airfryer for a test run. I thought it went great, if I can say it myself. The food was delicious and crispy, just as I wanted it to be. I will definitely use the Airfryer more often. The dinner with our friends M and W was very nice and we had a great time together. I have also found a great deal on a new tobacco pipe here is an example of the exact same pipe to give you an idea, the 'Castello Sea Rock Briar Billiard (KKKK)'.. It is a very nice "Castello Sea Rock Briar Billiard (KKKK)" pipe from a well known brand and I think I have a very good deal going on. It is still expensive, but the conversation and support that I have by the person (it is a rather well known Youtuber in the community of tobacco pipes). The weekend continued in the sign of business, on Saturday we had the house-warming party to go to to no other than our son J and K. It was a very nice party and we had a great time together with them and family. It all ended with a fantastic game evening suggested by J. It was a brilliant movce, it all brought us together in laughter and fun. I can really recommend the game it is really a fantastic game "Hitster", it is a great party game. Sunday was slightly a more relaxed day, we went to support the art exhibition of my father in law and his artist friends. It was a nice exhibition and I really liked some of the art pieces. Family joined from left and right and we socialised a bit. It was a nice little excursion before the last of the chores of the weekend, preparing for the new week ahead. Today, Monday 6th of October, marks the start of a new week. It is the birthday of my younger brother N. Happy birthday N. ! I hope you have a great day and that we can celebrate it together soon.
