28th of Jan until 8th of Feb 2026 Sun Feb 8 2026, 3:26:28 pm CET I am back home after a 9 days trip to Sweden. It was a great trip in many ways but also an intense one - the days just flew by. This time I took the time to meet up with friends (childhood friends that I didn't see in a very long time) and family, which was fantastic. The trip started off with a couple of days in Stockholm, where I stayed with my younger brother N. (his wife J. and daughter O. are always to see again as well of course). I had the chance to meet up with my childhood friends J. and J. - it must have been about 15 years since we last met. It was such a great evening with a lot of laughs and fun. It is really fantastic to see that they are doing great and are in great spirits. We had a lot to catch up on, and it was really nice to see them again. I ended the day with a couple of days up north outside of Hudiksvall to spend some time with mum, dad and older brother J. It was nice to help out and spend some time with them, and of course to see them again. I also had the chance to explore the area and do a bit of photo shooting There were some fantastic winter days - here I am at Rönnskär., which was really nice. The travel back was an intense one - I started 05:00 in the morning driving in an absolute winter wonderland Early but a beautiful drive in the north of Sweden., with snow and ice everywhere to pick E. up and then we drove to the train station in Hudiksvall. E. was taking over the car and I had to catch the train at 08:00 to Arlanda airport. The train and the flight Really smooth flight back. SAS is one of my favorite aviation to fly with! went really smoothly. The limited train departures forced me to be very early in the airport. In Brussels I ordered an Uber to drive me to my parked car and then I could head home on the final stretch of the trip. I finally arrived at home and parked my car at 20:07 o’clock. It was a great trip, but it is always nice to be back home as well. Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day.
