2nd until 10th of Jul 2025 Thu 10 Jul 2025, 6:00:11 pm CET OK, it is the evening before our trip to Croatia starting early tomorrow morning. It is going to be the 4 of us flying there and doing a roadtrip through the country in a rental, we are spending 3-4 days at each place, Airbnb and Booking.com accommodations in most places. We booked everything about six months ago and had almost forgotten about it all; it was nice to be reminded of it while scanning through my Airbnb app this morning. I was only back to work from our pre-holiday trip (we visited the garden of Monet in Giverny. I will write about that more later because it was an eventful and interesting time) two days ago to sort some stuff out at work and now I need to get back into that holiday mood. It is not the easiest and gives actually some stress, but I am sure it will be fine once we are on the plane. I am looking forward to it, as I have never been to Croatia before. We will be visiting Zagreb, Zadar and Split and other places. We are also planning to visit some national parks and do some hiking and relax in the sun. In true everything-at-once fashion, I completed the process of ordering my new car today (I am so happy that I can finally close this process after weeks of negotiations and emails back and forth), sorted out some work related emergencies (it's been a turbulent time to say the least after cyber attacks and organisational changes) and did the final arrangements for the trip (car rental, long-term car park solution)...with all the other stuff going on the last two days. Anyways, I am looking forward to the trip and will try to post some updates here while we are away. Anyway, I would like to update you on the progress of my tobacco plants Tobacco plants growing in the garden. Check out how well they are, a critical moment and in a couple of weeks I can start with the next phase... and show you how they have grown. Imagine it came from a tinyseed that I planted and nurtured since May, just two months ago. OK, this will be the last update before we leave tomorrow morning and I hope there will be opportunities to post some updates while we are away. I will try to do that, but I cannot promise anything.
