Small Moments, Big Impact - Embracing Life's Little Magic

18th and 19th of Nov 2024

Tue Nov 19 2024, 11:37:55 pm CET So what happened the last days? A lot it feels like but let's see what I can share here... I am only sharing general details when it comes to any work related things. Then on a private level; well, I try to keep the private things private. There are things I will not share, even though it has the biggest impact on me. Anyhow, I am sure you know what I mean...

The smallest things can have a big impact. I am just saying that because it is important also to acknowledge the small things that proves to have a big impact in everyday life. Like this one... I got an annoying kitchen cupboard door slammed shut for the 1000's time happening yesterday. For what ever reason, I thought that I will not wait for the future renovation initiative, "I'll order one of those gas compression spring, kitchenThis is the one of the two that are giving us a problem... gas compression spring thing" and mount it myself. After some time of googling and Youtubing, I decided that what I need was a 320N model. I learned a lot during the research, pretty interesting actually. I ordered it from Amazon - surprisingly easy - and delivery was promised to be today. It was delivered today. I snapped it in place and it works great. How cool is that. From a gut feeling yesterday and today it was ordered, fixed and mounted. A long time issue was fixed, just like that...fantastic!

Just to finish off this sporadic update in the name of honouring the small magic moments in life. Just pointing out that sometimes they can mean more that a going to places far away. We - H. and I - went for a walk. We needed to pick up something and extended it to a proper walk and enjoy the neighbourhood scenery. The park brasschaat, parkLocal scenery can be very nice, here is the park in Brasschaat. in Brasschaat was one of the places we passed on our little walk and just then the weather cleared up and made it pleasant.

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Tue 19 Nov 2024, 7:32:06 pm CET Did you know that today in 1493 is when Christopher Columbus goes ashore on an island called Borinquen he first saw the day before. He names it San Juan Bautista (later renamed again Puerto Rico).
