Busy Days, Loving Moments

19 of Sep 2024

Thu Sep 19 2024, 7:06:09 pm CET It's been a pretty ordinary day at work, not much to say about that. Apart from the fact that it is REALLY busy, but then again that is not extraordinary. Feels like I am running around putting out fires in all my projects. Sometimes it would be nice to have the time to focus for a moment. Anyway, duality since at the same time I am liking the work I am doing. It builds up until it is Friday and then I have a day completely full of conference calls from the very early morning. It makes it difficult to leave in time to get to the office. But really!

Tomorrow, but very late tomorrow, we will see our J. again. It is a very special time for J. and K. as they will be apart from each other longer than ever before. I know that they have a very strong and special relationship. I promise you, they are such a great couple. We are just hoping that they will find peace in how the setup will have to be for the next coming months. Anyway, we will pick him up - probably picking him up on multiple levels - late tomorrow at the Schiphol airport. I hope they will not have too difficult of a time tonight as I know it was initially a small cultural shock and reality hit them harder than expected. It is however very difficult as a parent - one of those understandable parents - not to overwhelm them with "support".

I was also busy with some 3D printing projects - researching and actual printing. I re-sliced (what we do in a slicer system like Prusa slicer or Orca Slicer etc) an active project with PETG filament, namely my fantastic sunglasses project. It's one of my absolutely favourite projects in wish I have invested in buying the glasslenses to fit in the 3D printed frames. I will try it out in the sun and everyday usage to see if the durability is better.

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Thu 19 Sep 2024, 6:54:28 pm CET Did you know that today 1991 is when Ötzi the Iceman Read more about him on Wikipedia. is discovered in the Alps on the border between Italy and Austria.
