Reunion & Updates: Life's Little Moments

15th until 22nd of Aug 2025

Thu 21 Aug 2025, 8:22:24 pm CET This is just a little update to simply say hi and some quick words on what's been going on. We are waiting for our dear ex neighbour lady M. It's been a tough time for them, D. was taken to hospital last week and is still there. She is recovering but it is a long process. For both of them. So like I mentioned, we are waiting for M. to pass by from the hospital visit to have some nice dinner here with us.

Fri Aug 22 2025, 5:41:00 pm CET I never got around to finish this post yesterday, as M. came by and we had a nice dinner together. It was good to see her again. I hope D. will be back home soon. I had to bring it over to today and hope that I will be able to finish it today. I have decided to stop working in time for today, as I have been working quite a lot this week. The plan for the evening is a quick visit by H's brother (the brother in law, thus) and then J. will go to Antwerp tonight. He has an exam tomorrow morning, he is still busy studying. Hopefully he will be able to get through it all.

It's Friday and the work week is over. It was one of those weeks that felt like it would never end. The craziness at work is still ongoing, but I am managing to keep up and did rather well if I may say so myself. I am treating myself to a nice beer, cheers on the upcoming weekend!

For the rest, there are a lot of nice small things happening. There are some updates on my tobacco growing project, I will write a separate post about it. I can mention though that I am having some interesting development where I am slowly reaching phase 3 - the harvesting phase!

I have also been busy with some minor 3D printing projects, I will also write a separate post about it, they have all been successful so far printing in various materials and sizes. An interesting finding is that I have noticed the various specialities of each 3D printer. A good example is my Qidi printer where it performs less good with PLA, but really good with PETG material. I think it has to do with the heated and enclosed print chamber (even though I leave the doors opened during printing).

I had prepared two images to go with this post, but life came in between and I never got around to include them. I will try to add them later on, if I remember. One is a picture of tobacco leaves drying in the garage, the other one is a picture of one of my recent 3D prints. I will save that for another post though, as I want to go to bed now.

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Thu 21 Aug 2025, 8:22:24 pm CET Did you know that today in 1851 is when the first America's Cup Read more about it on Wikipedia. is won by the yacht America team.
