16th until 22nd of Nov 2025 Sat 22 Nov 2025, 7:18:10 pm CET Another 7 days passed and we are already at the 22nd of November 2025 - end of November thus. December is next and then the year 2025 is over. Time flies when you are having fun, they say. But the scary thing is that time seems to speed up the older you get. Or is it just me? No, it is not because that is what my father always says and everyone I talk to have the same experience. I can not come up with anything really spectacular that happened the last working week. I am definitely not saying that it was a boring or uneventful week, certainly not, it was "just" life happening as usual. Work, family, friends, hobbies, chores, etc. But nothing really out of the ordinary. Or maybe I just have a bad memory? Hmmm... I am fast forwarding until yesterday evening after the workday. As a birthday surprise for my godson, who turned 21 years old, we booked a complete night of events for him. It is getting to be a tradition, we keep doing this every year and it seems to get better every year. We are a small group - my brother in law, my son J and my god son E. As per usual, my wonderful wife H. had planned it out meticulously. We started with dinner at the Korean Drum BBQ restaurant in Antwerp Korean Drum BBQ - Great food, great service, great atmosphere.. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. After that we went to a nearby axe throwing place Axe throwing at Woodcutter Antwerp.. I have never done that before in this setup, but it was a lot of fun Enjoying the moment, here we are are doing the 'Hammer Smash' Challenge. The seniors outperformed the youngsters for once.... They also served beers there and we had an absolute blast. After a few rounds of axe throwing, we went to a nearby place called De Muze De Muze - A cool jazzbar in Antwerp. for some more talks and socialising. All in all, a fantastic evening and a great way to celebrate E's 21st birthday . It was a wonderful night and we All had a great time together, so much so that we forgot the time and had to run to catch the last tram home and was not in bed before 03:00 AM! Do I have to say that today was a slower day with a late start? Luckily we all could sleep in and take it easy this Saturday. A slow breakfast and then a little trip back and forth to Antwerp to get J's stuff from his dormitory - no time last night when running to the tram. Did you know that..?
