15th until 26th of Dec 2024 Thu 26 Dec 2024, 12:33:00 pm CET Christmas time is over us, we celebrated Christmas with family, did the social updates and talked with family and friends in Sweden. We have eaten and drunken way too much, as one does every year this period. All the gifts have been handed out and received - I must have been very nice this year. I was very spoiled and got very nice gifts. Now we are gearing up for New Year... It's been a really great time and I feel that the real Christmas spirit came (except for the weather) celebrating with J and K closely together. We also help out the less fortunate by giving out food and some gifts. It just feels the best and it makes you think and contemplate over how fortunate we are, for sure. It certainly gives a double feeling, as nice as it is with Christmas, gifts and sharing time together, it is also an extremely sensitive time for many. It is very obvious reminder for the ones who misses their loved ones and for the less fortunate... We have enjoyed some great food, even though we had some minor disaster with a delivery of Swedish food we ordered to prepare a typical "Swedish Christmas table" - Julbord a Smorgasbord of typical Swedish food which we eat during Christmas. We order every year from a certain Onfos Onfos, located in Germany, normally have a good service, but this year the delivery was a disaster... and this year we received maybe 30% of the stuff. Most likely is that the box was opened while on the way and someone picked the most expensive stuff. A worker in the postal service had some exotic food this Christmas... We have raised the issue, let's see how they react. So far nothing, which is a disappointment to say the least. It's been a fabulous holiday and I am able to completely disconnect from work so far. I have also done some 3D printing with the new Bambu Lab A1 mini printer. It is absolutely a fantastic 3d printer, it is a superfast "bed-slinger" with a true "input shaping" and it worked right out of the box with minimal intervention so far. I am very impressed and positively surprised. Tomorrow I have to drive to Brussels, I have an appointment to get my winter tyres fitted. Did you know that..?
