14th until 26th of Dec 2025 Fri Dec 26 2025, 5:11:30 pm CET Almost two weeks have passed since my last blog post on the 13th of December 2025. A lot has happened since then, it is a busy time of the year with Christmas and all. We have had a wonderful Christmas celebration with family and friends. The house was filled with laughter, great food, and the joy of giving and receiving gifts. It is also a time - for me - to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the new one and missing part of my family and home country. It is especially and still after all these years, a bit hard being away from Sweden during this time of the year. Last week of work before the Christmas holiday was quite hectic, I managed to squeeze in an office day as well. I took the time to receive a new laptop and do most of the configuration and setups needed. It is almost fully operational now, I have to still return the old one as I had to do some final data transfers and checks. There are still some things I have to do without in the future as the policies recently changed and we have to comply with them. But overall, I am quite satisfied with the new machine and I am looking forward to using it more in the future. On the 18th of December I made on an interesting trip to Gent - a very nice Belgian city - to visit a fellow masonic lodge. Some of my lodge brothers joined me and it was a really nice experience. We had a great time, the lodge was very welcoming and we were invited to dinner and joined in good discussion about various topics. It was also interesting to see how different lodges operate. Overall, it was a very enriching experience and I am glad I had the opportunity to go. Then the Christmas holiday started and all the preparations started in earnest. We had a lovely Christmas Eve on the 24th with extended family and enjoyed with games and food. Yesterday, the four of us had a second celebration. J and K joined us in the early afternoon. We had prepared traditional Swedish food The ordered food - we gave Onfos one more chance - arrived without any issues and it was prepared perfectly. and lots of nice gifts, and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. Today, on the 26th of December, I am taking it easy and relaxing after all the festivities. It is a time to unwind and recharge before the new year begins. Both J and K are doing some school work and later tonight we will have a quiet dinner together before we have to go to Antwerp with K. Did you know that..?
