Mon Oct 26 2026, 11:35:05 pm CET Here I am again, doing great work to keep this fantastic site updated and fresh! To be honest, don't tell anyone, but I was completely lost after the unforeseen events that disrupted my weekend routine. It's interesting how external factors can completely disrupt a carefully planned schedule. Of course it shouldn't. I can calm my mind by reminding myself that things used to be much worse when I was younger. At least I'm on an upward trend...

Simply put, due to the global PHP2Shell vulnerability issue, I was called in last Friday night to work. The value of it can be discussed, but the fact stands that it was something snowballing and kept on rolling the whole weekend. I am still busy with it today...which completely changed my plans (I was supposed to be with my brothers this evening) for this evening!

That said, it doesn't mean that it wasn't a nice weekend. We went for a nice bike trip with our ex-neighbour ladies to the airport in Brasschaat. It has one of my favorite place for some "recovery" - a nice local beer [[alt text]]It is truely a really nice beer. from the Brouwerij d'Oude Caert, of course we are talking about the Tripel d'Oude Caert It is not just because it comes from Brasschaat, the beer is great! in Brasschaat. It was a day starting out weirdly, and ended really nice. A day planned out in a certain way with everything planned out but, due to unforeseen circumstances - the extreme weather - all plans cancelled. We did the best of it and enjoyed the day to the fully.

With that said, those two separate and different events, it shows that we always have to be flexible and do the best of the current situation. Humans have this natural instinct of disliking changes. We have to fight and go against the natural reaction to make the situation better for us. Even though, at the moment, it doesn't feel like it. For me that is easier said than done. Naturally, changes like these are not easy for me at most times. Like for most of us. Being two, sometimes make the process easier - one is supporting the other.
