20th until 27 of Nov 2024 Wed Nov 27 2024, 8:19:12 pm CET How can it be, it's already been 7 days since I last posted something here. What a disgrace! It feels like ages ago since last time, but it's been a, let's say, a real journey. Well, life just happened I guess. Again, as per usual! It's been a lot of things going on that it will be difficult to remember all of it. Especially in the correct order. Anyways, here it goes (in random order)... The surprise visit by K. happened. So nice, she'd arrange her surprise visit for J. and included us - the parents - on it. We just had to combine it with an experience for them. A little bit to distract them from an emotional parting after the visit. Anyway, she was departing from Schiphol last Sunday and we arranged an excursion in Zaanse Schans It was the second time we visited this special place. It is absolutely worth seeing. It's really an hidden gem... in the area of Amsterdam, a nice dinner and then the night in the hotel called CitizenM It was a fantastic experience at the this hotel. What a nice service and friendly approach to located at the airport. Another thing happening at the moment with a big impact is the fact that our neighbour ladies are moving. Yes, they are leaving us for an apartment close by. On one hand we absolutely understand them, but at the same time we wonder why. It is really a dual feeling of course. Strange would it be of we would think something else after a close relationship for 20 years. They have been with us since J's first steps. They have seen me dressed as a cowboy running around in the garden playing with J. I do not want to imagine what they have seen and thought during those years... We have been through mostly happy times, but certainly also the difficult times. We will miss them deeply... Oh OK. What else? 3D prints of course and then also new contact with my dear friend S. I just have to find some time free for him. I really like and miss those times out "having a curry"! With that I will now go for the dinner for tonight. The lonely parents (just some drama, we are so happy that our son is enjoying his life of course) are having a dinner... Did you know that..?
