19th until 28th of Sep 2025 Sun 28 Sep 2025, 7:00:07 pm CET 10 whole days have passed since my last post. Madness! How can time pass so quickly? It's been busy both at work and in my personal life. But hey, that's life, right? Always something happening which is great. I have tried to keep up with work life balance, but it's a constant struggle. I guess that's why they call it a balance act. Anyway, I was able to do a lot of 3D printing, progressing with my home growing pipe tobacco I have reached another milestone in my quest to grow and make my own pipe tobacco: shredding the tobacco leaves. Yes, you can see in the image that I am using a pasta machine to shred the leaves! project and all the fatherly obligations (which are all a privilege and the true meaning and joy of life). It is Sunday evening and I was starting to relax. It's actually been a rather relaxed day. Driving K. to the train station in Berchem, sorting out some delivered orders, fiddling around in the garden and later tonight we are all driving J. to Antwerp with some stuff he needs, another busy week ahead for him. Yesterday we went to a great event in Stabroek, a small village near Antwerp. It was the 150th anniversary of the local malting company "Mouterij Dingemans" Dingemans is a family business that, since its establishment in 1875, specializes in the production of the finest quality malt for breweries and distilleries. Through intensive collaboration with brewers and extensive experience, we have become an expert in developing special malts.. It was a great arrangement with a lot of prepared interaction, drinks and interactive content. We had a great time and met a lot of nice people. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. As a perfect ending we all went to a spectacular location for a nice restaurant The restaurant 't Koetshuis, next to Ravenhof castle, visible in the background. close to the Ravenhof Castle Read more about the castle on Wikipedia.. A perfect ending of a great day. Despite having a busy week with work and family commitments, we could also take some time to relax and enjoy each other's the company of friends. We spontaneously visited our dear neighbour (in fact, ex-neighbours, since they moved) ladies. I am grateful for these moments and am looking forward to more in the coming weeks. Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Sun 28 Sep 2025, 7:00:07 pm CET Did you know that today in 1924, the first round-the-world flight was completed The first aerial circumnavigation of the world was completed on September 28, 1924, by a team of aviators of the United States Army Air Service in Douglas World Cruiser aircraft.
