27th until 31st of Mar 2026 Tue 31 Mar 2026, 6:45:49 pm CET We are at the end of the last day of March, and the spring is in full swing. The days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer. But the last couple of days were not that warm, it was actually quite chilly. We are almost in April, crazy to think about it. The activities amongst birds and animals are increasing, and the flowers are starting to bloom. It's a great time to be outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. The negatives are the pigeons that start to be more active and shitting on my car. My NEW nice car. Already an update, you might think? Yes, I know, but that means that I have something to day (or I did not have time with an earlier update). This weekend was really nice and special. Sunday and yesterday was also - let's just say - a bit special with no time over to write an update (even though I was busy working/update/fixing some stuff here on the site). So there you have it. Let's begin with Saturday. We had a really nice day, a complete day (and night) of birthday celebrations - it was my belated birthday party/event. It started in Antwerp with a nice guided tour beneath It was a great tour beneath the city. Profesionally done with protective clothes and an interactive solution. the city. That is a bit unique of Antwerp, Napoleon Bonaparte ordered that the canals should be covered, and that is why there are so many tunnels and underground passages beneath the city. It was really interesting to learn about the history of the city that way. Once we popped up from the underground, we had a nice walk through the city back to the parked car, and then we drove back home for a nice dinner - home made luxury tortillas - both meat and seafood. It was really nice and we had a great time. Sunday started relaxed - it was certainly not my 18th birthday - with a nice breakfast and some relaxing time. Later we did some chores and stuff that needed to be done around the house. Later in the evening we drove back to Antwerp for a nice dinner at J and K since they have a busy couple of days before they are going to their trip to Thailand. A lot of things to do before a trip, mostly we have to do remotely, so we had a nice dinner and a good time together. Monday was chaotic, with a lot of things to do and arrange in one evening - for J and also we had to finalise the last bookings of our summer holiday in the Azores. Late in the night we were all done. Even all the bookings for the Azores were done, so we are all set for our trip to the Azores. That is a huge relief, because we have been busy planning and arranging that for a while now, and it's really nice to have it all done - flights, accommodation and car rental. Did you know that..?
